MTH131 Intermediate Algebra with Review This course is a combination of Intermediate Algebra and a review of Introductory Algebra concepts. It will include the study of systems of linear equations, functions, rational exponents and radicals, polynomial division, advanced factoring techniques, solving quadratic equations, rational expressions, and appropriate application problems.

MTH131 Intermediate Algebra w/Review is for the college student whose grasp of algebra is currently weak or marginal. The usual topics contained in a first or second course in high school algebra are covered. Successful completion of this course should prepare the student for College Algebra.

MTH131 Intermediate Algebra w/Review will prepare the student for MTH178 College Algebra if the student feels inadequately prepared or if the student has not had four semesters of high school algebra.

Prerequisite:MTH076 or equivalent with a passing grade of C or better, or College of Enrollment Placement Criteria.
