Is it Time to Evaluate the True Cost of Your College Education? #Tuition #PayingforCollege #Tips

If its your first time applying to college, enrolling in a new semester, or you’re coming back to finish your degree, looking at the per credit hour and fees may not necessarily the best way to determine the total cost for that institution.

Did you know that tuition and fees represent only one-fourth the cost of community college and 40% of the total cost of going to college for four years?

A recent report from the American Council on Education outlined the additional costs that students pay including room and board, books and supplies, lab fees, proctoring fees, and transportation and / or parking fees to attend on campus classes.

We know it’s tough to carry a full-load of credits, keep up with your class work, and make it to class on time especially if you are working to pay for college.  This can also be tricky when looking at financial aid packages as the cost of living might also be restrictive and cause over-borrowing.

An alternative to lowering your total cost of education is by taking online classes.

EDUKAN offers fully accredited, online courses at $150 per credit hour in state or out of state. We also offer embedded learning materials and ebooks with select classes which can save you hundreds of dollars a semester. We also include online proctoring fees in our tuition which saves the average student from $200-$400 a semester.

It is now easier than ever to get your college credits transferred and applied from other institutions as almost every state in the union are now participating in the state authorization reciprocity agreement called NC-SARA. This agreement makes it easy for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state.

EDUKAN offers flexible college course scheduling during 14 sessions and accept students outside of the state of Kansas for the same per credit hour as we do for in-state students.

EDUKAN offers over 200 classes year round including Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, General ED, Accounting, Chemistry, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Animal Science, Anthropology, Nutrition, Art History and other required and elective courses online. View our catalog of over 200 courses by clicking here by session, dates and credits.
