Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) work together with a team of pathologists, physicians and specialists to determine the presence, extent or absence of disease and provide data to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.
Our online learning program is flexible and affordable, which allows you to learn on your schedule, making it easier to pursue higher education course work while managing your other responsibilities.
The laboratory procedures performed by MLTs use an array of complex precision instruments and a variety of automated and electronic equipment. Laboratory personnel may advance by acquiring additional education to progress to the Medical Technologist level.
All lecture material is accessed online with the laboratory requirements being completed at an approved clinical laboratory site. For more program information visit Seward County Community College’s Seward County Community College’s Medical Laboratory Technology page and for accreditation NAACLS & certification ASCP.
Students in the Medical Laboratory Technology program may take the following general education and pre-requisite courses from EDUKAN. All other required program courses must be taken with SCCC.
