Award-winning EDUKAN and Fort Hays State University join forces to help students simplify pursuing their educational goals.
EDUKAN, leader in distance education for college students since 1998 announced today that effective immediately they will be co-marketing educational programs from Fort Hays State University (FHSU) that will simplify the path for students to go from certificates to an AAS degree and on to a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
The strategic alliance with Fort Hays State University will open up the options to students pursuing individual classes or degrees online while making it easy to transfer credits from one institution to the next.
“In line with the continued shift in focus to value-based quality education, the new strategic alliance between EDUKAN and FHSU provides students with even greater opportunities for achieving their academic goals. The new partnership not only broadens the range of options at the programmatic level, but also serves to simplify the often challenging higher education landscape by creating clear pathways to graduation,” said Esther Lahargoue, EDUKAN’s Chief Executive Officer. “The combined course offerings are designed to meet the needs of both national and international students.”
Under the agreement, both EDUKAN and FHSU will work together in co-branding efforts, as well as provide information on the educational paths available for the field of study the student wishes to follow for distance education. This includes conferences and other recruiting opportunities to educate students on the benefits of online, digital college opportunities available that are low-cost, work on a flexible schedule and are available from anywhere at any time through mobile access.
Dr. Joseph “Joey” Linn, FHSU’s Vice President for Student Affairs said “This agreement advances the great working relationship already in place between FHSU, EDUKAN, and the colleges which are a part of EDUKAN.” Dr. Linn continued “With this agreement, western Kansas will be able to offer the world one of the largest catalogs of online degrees, expanding learning opportunities at the certificate, associates, bachelors, masters, and professional doctorate degree levels.”
EDUKAN’s distance education offering to students include 205 plus courses year round with 19 certificate and AA degree programs; while Fort Hays State University, offers over 45 online degrees which when combined dramatically increase the number of fully accredited options for students coming to both institutions.
